This checklist will take you through updating a network dataMAP 3.21 install to dataMAP 4.1.
Click-Once / Standalone Install

Check dataMAP 3.21
- From the administrators machine (or any machine with dataMAP 3.21)
- Check the APG works correctly

Install dataMAP 4.1
- Download ZIP file from this link.
- Create new folders 'Config' and 'dataMAP41' under X:\dataMAP\
- Extract ZIP file to X:\dataMAP\dataMAP41\
- Run X:\dataMAP\dataMAP41\dataMAP4Loader
- If it fails, run "SetCLRPermissions.BAT".
- If it still fails, install .Net 3.5SP1
- Check APG works correctly

Specify configuration location (Network installs only)
- From the menu, Tools > Configuration > "Save Configuration to file..."
- Save the file to X:\dataMAP\Config\System.xml

On each desktop
- Go to X:\dataMAP\dataMAP41, select dataMAP4Loader, send a shortcut to the dekstop and run it.
- If it fails, run "SetCLRPermissions.BAT".
- If it still fails, install .Net 3.5SP1
- If this fails, please copy any error message (with Ctrl-C) and email it to SIA Support
